Hi VAF,
I am building new carburetor drip trays for my RV-12 because the old ones are corroded and cracking. I got the new parts in from Vans, FF-01226A, FF-01226B, FF-01226C, and FF-01226D. The relevant KAI section is 46-06. The picture in the KAI depicts three holes in one of the areas of the FF-01226A part, and makes no mention of drilling any new holes, only match drilling existing holes:

But the actual part does not have three holes, only two:

Is this as simple as just adding a hole where the missing one would be? Why is it missing? Is this kind of a normal problem that happens all the time, or is this unusual?
Thank you for your advice.
