Fat Pants

Hi. I am putting Rv-10 pants on my Skybolt. The pants look rather bulbous...is this related to the pressure recovery thing? Thanks.

Absolutely.

Yep, they are very bulbous but they and the gear leg fairings add over 16 MPH! They are the very best shape IMO.

Don't expect that in your Skybolt since it's kinda draggy.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I know about the drag ;0)...if I get 3-5mph I'll be happy. The smaller pants with the smaller wheel size on say, the RV-7's don't look bulbous, but the slightly larger wheel for the RV-10 has way more than a slightly larger pant to match, I was curious as to the reasoning for this.
