In the middle of my annual condition inspection I see the carb heat valve/flapper is wearing on the FAB top cover... The lost part was attached, I just finished peeling it off to what you seen in this picture:
And with the flapper closed
I have some idea(s) as how to fix this, but was wondering if anyone else has seen this.. and how did you fix it..??
Seems the flapper in the closed position was not being held tightly up against the FAB's top plate and allowed to viberate causing the wear.. You can see the wear on the flapper too... OUCH!!
