I believe it's pretty common to have to trim notches out of the flange on the the F-729A so that you have clearance for the rivets that come in to the F-705 from the other side.
But, if I relieve enough for that singe leg nut plate it's really going to be taking out a lot of meat. Does anyone see why I couldn't just make a shim to fit under the nutplate ears so that it's elevated to the same height as the flange?
