I'm building a -9 which uses the same F-7114 bracket as the -7 to tie the forward center section to the forward lower longerons. However, I think since the taildragger -9 was an afterthought, Van's seems to left out any instructions on when or how to drill it to the side longerons. I'd like to get it done this weekend so I can start taking the forward fuse. apart.
Can someone with -7 plans give me the basics? Essentially, (1) when do the instructions call for drilling it to the forward longerons and (2) what is the general procedure? (e.g., Should the spar bolts be in to hold it tight to the bulkhead? Should the web of the bracket parallel the vertex of the lower longeron? My guesses are inherent in the questions, but I'd rather be sure before I drill)
