F-7101 Gear Web attach on QB 7.

OK, what's the story with these things? My QB fuse came from the factory with both F-7101L and -R installed. Am I supposed to drill these off in order to install the F-782D cover plate attach angle? The last 4 or 5 rivets along the bottom longeron are left open so you can matchdrill and attach the F-7114 gusset, But I'm brain-frozen about what to do with the pre-installed F-7101's and the F-782D angles. Seems to me there should be an alternative way to attach the F-782D that doesn't involve removal of what looks to be a pretty beefy piece.

After reading DanC's site, I see he put lightening holes in these before install, but he did install them.
