F-631A rear canopy frame, tip up.

I don't like the fit of my rear canopy frame part number F-631A. I've gotten the plexi cut down and it fits the forward frame like a glove and of course sits tightly on the roll bar. I don't seem to be able to get the curve to work out to fit nicely on the rear hoop though. I am picky but this goes way beyound being picky it just doesn't fit right. My question is this. Has anyone ever replaced that rear structure with a fiber glass lay up? I'm giving serious thought to doing just that and wondered if anyone sees a problem with it. Or perhaps there are some stories of people making a fiber glass lay up to replace those parts at any rate I would love to hear what you all think.
