EZ-COWL Tool for FP Lycomings

My EZ-COWL tool (cowling installation assist tool) was originally designed for airplanes with constant speed propellers & Lycoming engines, with Type 2 crankshaft flanges. What this basically means is that the crankshaft flange face is (at least) 2" or more behind the face of the nose bowl. A "gap" of at least 1" is needed between the crank flange & cowl nose bowl - nose bowl is "proud" of the crank, for EZ-COWL to work unmodified.

Since I've only done CS installs, I never really thought about the config with FP propellers. I need a little help here to make sure I am not sending out something that doesn't work (or too hard to modify) for those w/FP props.

Can I get a few responses for the distance between the crank flange & the nose bowl - and if the crank is "proud" of the nose bowl or not?

Thank you in advance.
