Extra Vertical Stab Piece

I'm finishing up my Vertical Stab and I have piece VS-1016 laying around. I've gone back and looked over the plans and cannot see where it goes. Please, can someone tell me if I missed something important.

Page 11-4. It's used to attach the front of the VS to the HS.

Reminds me of the days when my dad would put stuff together (grills, bookshelves, bicycles, etc.) He'd always have "leftover" parts that he INSISTED were extras and not really needed! I felt the same way when I noticed my own VS-1016, but quickly found the answer by reading ahead. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Thank God I don't build like my father... I guess even bad role models can be good role models, if you know to do the opposite of everything they did..
