Error in RV-12 POH - Potential Safety Concern

See page iv in the RV-12 POH. For NORMAL TAKEOFF it says LIFTOFF 40-55 kts CAS. (Seems way TOO LOW -- AT STALL SPEED!). See page 7-7 in the RV-12 POH. For TAKE-OFF (Normal) it says LIFTOFF 50-55 kts CAS. (This appears to be correct).

The two pages disagree,

I have sent this to Van's (Ken Scott)

Good catch Marty.

55 Knots is too low for gross weight take off, IMHO. I'd add 5 knots.

I'm off the ground at or before that in my -6 most of the time. Now, if it is gusty or something, I may add a few knots, but 55-60 knots seems excessive for a -12 on a routine basis.
