Engine mount bracket...help?

I'm in a bit of a quandary as to what I should do with my upper left engine
mount bracket. (WD602-L-1-PC) On three of the rivets I didn't get a good set.
After drilling them out and trying again it was obvious that the hole had
widened enough to not get enough of a set on the inside. As you can
guess...drilling them out yet again I'm left with three very oblonged holes.
It's apparent that AN426AD4 rivets are no longer going to work in these holes.
The way I see it, my options are to get some AN426AD5 size rivets and see if I
can make those work...or drill the whole thing out and put in a new one. I'm
really hoping I don't have to do that! I've also considered making a back plate
for that area and using longer rivets...but I don't really know how structural
these three particular rivets are and i'm not comfortable "winging it" on a part
that helps hold the engine onto the airframe! I've attached a link to a photo that will
show you what I'm talking about. Any advice?

Thanks!

If you need one of us, including myself, can drop a few -5 rivets in the mail for you so you don't have to order 100 of them to use two, PM me your address and the lengths you need, I may also have some oops rivets that will fit

also i highly recommend you read this post, and learn from Jamie as it seems you're drilling the entire rivet out and not just the head, if you adopt the technique Jamie is describing here, you can avoid this in the future

as always, I know this from doing the same thing you've done, and that's why I have oops rivets and -5 Rivets on hand :D
