Engine control cables

For the new RV-10 project I’ll be running a Cold Air Sump IO-540 with an AFP 200FM. The cowl will be from James Aircraft. I will have the standard push/pull controls (no quadrant).

For those running a similar engine, what lengths of control cables worked for you?

It will depend on what throttle quadrant you use. I used AeroSport’s centre console and the lengths listed on Aerosport’s website were pretty close. Betterto be a little long than too short.

I recommend waiting until you get the engine setup and bracket points at least located, and then measure.

Here’s my previous post on this for reference.
