The photos of the RV-12 show an Ameriking AK450 ELT fitted in front of the fuel tank. I hope Van's is not including this ELT as part of the kit as it does not transmit on the new 406 MHz and would be a waste of money.

I asked Van's yesterday. They said it is an AmeriKing 406. It does come with the kit. Probably in the avionics kit.

121.5 ELTs are and continue to be legal in the US.
