ELT bracket location

I see a number of posts that place the ELT in the tailcone near the battery but also others that suggest it could be placed under the VS fairing. If it will fit on the horizontal surfaces near the tail, that sounds more accessible to me! Anyone have some pictures/experience with mounting the ELT near the VS?

Tim Lewis has mounted his ELT on the back deck, which makes things quite accessible.

ELT Location

I am sure that the access to the ELT is great located in the tail under the fiberglass fairing however I worry about the weight of the ELT and its long term impact on that structure. I plan on putting mine near the battery or maybe even in the baggage area.
