Elevator trim install help please

I am working on page 11-10 of the empennage plans when you run the trim servo to the full retracted and back to check range of motion of the whole set up

The problem. How Do you actuate the servo? It is not hooked up to power but it does not move free or at all by gently pushing or pulling on the bell crank... I don't want to break it. It certainly is secure in its "from the box" position......

Thanks in advance

Assuming you have the wiring schematic for it, wire it per plans. Use a 9v battery for power. The servo will run fine, just a bit slower than when connected to 12/14v ships power.

As said above, 9v transistor radio battery.

You just reverse the leads on the battery to run the other way.

IIRC, the wires you want are white with no tracer stripes. The ones with stripes are for the feedback pot.

By the way, when it is all hooked up to the trim tabs, do not get surprised by the fact the tabs do not move in concert with each other at the ends of the travel up and down.
