I did a few searches, but came up empty.
I have the 'new' trim cable bracket, that is welded on both sides. From an engineering standpoint, I'm not so sure that the failure point has been addressed.....isn't this just as likely to crack where the ring nut meets the plate?
Can anyone whose done this mod in the field, run thru the steps needed to install the new trim cable bracket, or beef up the existing one?
I am not a builder, so am not keen to start drilling out rivets and otherwise butchering stuff that I'm not familiar with.
Even if the bracket is detached from the rectangular mounting plate, how the heck would you get it off the cable? Seems like there would be no way to unthread it, without pulling it back into the fuselage or something.
