Elevator trailing edge

Guys.....finishing up on right elevator. I measured and drew a line for the wedge that sits between the skin on the trailing edge. About 1/8 inch extends aft beyond the skin. Do you trim this up even with the skin? Did I measure wrong? I checked the measurement several times. I do not think the wedge should extend aft of the elevator skins....Just doesn't look right.

Its supposed to stick out just a bit....keep building

It sticks out just a little bit. Should be more like 1/32".

I finished mine up with a file after the assembly. Nice square edge then sanded.

Same as Mark- Finish flush with file, sand edges.
