Elevator Leading Edge to HS Gap

I suspect this has been discussed before but I couldn't find anything in searching. Couldn't find anything in the instructions either. So, the question is how much space to leave between the tip of the Elevator counterweight and the rear of the HS cap. This would aply to the Rudder/VS as well.

I initially started out thinking about 1/8 inch, but a friend of mine building a fast plastic plane said he was told 1/4 inch. The reason is that ice could build on the Leading Edge of the Counterweight and effectively lock the elevator or rudder.

Of course it still could happen with the 1/4 inch gap but would take a lot more ice to do it.

Wondering what others have done?
