Elevator counterbalance skin

During the preliminary fitting of the elevator tip fairing, there is a gap between the forward part of the fairing and the E-913 counterbalance skin.
Should I flatten the forward flange of the inner and outboard tip rib - E-903, 904, so that the counterbalance skin sits flatter? The fairing leading edge is flat, the counterbalance skin is curved, governed by the E-903,904 tip ribs forward flange.

No. As long as you’ve fluted the rib flanges as per the plans, so the ribs sit flat on your table, that’s all you have to do to the ribs. Review page 12-05. You can build the fiberglass up to match the aluminum with a microballoon, epoxy mixture if it still needs it. I think I used a flox mixture there because it was easy to sand with my long board.
Remember to take care of SB-00034 while you have the opportunity.
Cheers
