Elevator build question for 9A

All, I have a question regarding my 9A elevator build. I damaged one of my skins and ordered a replacement only for the replacement to get here with a big dent right in the middle. So while I wait for a third one to get here would it be acceptable to use the original skin I have to go ahead and line up and drill the holes in the frame to final size and then replace it with the new skin when i get it or is it best to just wait until I get a replacement skin and try to find something else to work on?

I would wait for the good skin before you match drill. The holes are all probably identical from skin to skin, since they are all CNC punched, but since they are undersized, there will be variations when you match drill. It is always a good thing to have a nice straight control surface.
