Elevator Alingment to HS issues

As it was time to start the fiberglass work I mounted the elevators to the HS. Left side went up perfect. Gap between the Counterweight arm and HS was about 3/32" and consistently parallel. Fiberglass matched well.....

Right side has about ~1/16" of an inch less in gap between the counterweight arm and the HS. The fit is parallel but there is noticeably less gap. It is even obvious in the gap between the control horn and bearing assembly.

There was only one way to place the hinges:confused:. Has anyone seen this before? If so what is the best fix? I was going to file the HS and counterweight arm slightly and trim the fiberglass on the HS.

Thanks!!!!

You have the right idea. Go for it. They're all different. I aim for 1/8" gap on the counterbalance arms. It is obviously very important that they don't get jammed for any reason.
