edge distance on fiberglass fairings?

Hey guys- what did you typically shoot for as an edge distance for the fasteners on the F-794B empennage intersection fairing? The print doesn't really give you dimension.

I just looked, and a #6 tinnerman has an OD of .5, so if a guy wants to retain the ability to use them without them running off the edge, looks like somewhere around 0.3 to 0.5 inches.

Does that sound about right? Just trying to get this wretched thing fit right without giving it the opportunity to pooch up at the edges.

The tinnerman center you mentioned sounds about right. Maybe just a tad more. For myself, I didn’t use tinnermans on the fairing. Just a personal choice.

I searched the internet for pictures of the intersection fairing for my installation.

I am also planning to use the #6 Tinerman washer so the edge distance is appropriate for the washer, and not the #6 screws.

I’m pretty sure the plans called 3/8”. At least it did for the top 3 screws but would assume that would be a general note for all.
