Economical RPM w/engine, prop combination

If I memory serves, some A/C engine/prop combinations shouldn't be flown for long periods at certain rpm ranges. Crankshaft harmonics I think. I was wondering what the most economical practical air speed/RPM is and whether the Rotax/prop combination has RPM limitations precluding running slower. Is it designed to be run primarily at 5500 rpm or so?
