Dynon Skyview

Anyone flying with a 10" or 7" Skyview system? If so how readable is it in bright sunlight? I know others used to grip about the older models fading in bright light.

Excellent.

I am flying with mine all the time 80 hours in 3 months, full sun and its absolutely great, no issues. The ipad has some issues, dynon..none.

Have put about 15 hours so far on a single screen D1000. Very readable in direct sunlight. Just arrived back today from Florida. Sun shining very brightly, and no issues. So far the system has been perfect. Everything works as advertised

The Legacy Dynon system with the bright screen option has absolutely no issue with Sun light. The Skyview is even better.

My vote for Sunlight readability 1-10 with 10 being best (based on what I have actually seen):

iPad = 1-2 better if you hold it to find sweet spot
Aera = 3 depending on angle
296/396/496 = 5-6 depending on angle
Legacy Dynon bright screen = 8
TT Gemini PFD = 8, straight on, off axis fades quickly
430W = 8
Garmin 796 = 8
AFS 2500 EMS = 9
Skyview = 9
Garmin GTN series panel mount GPS's = Gold Standard 10+

I think the word you're looking for is "legacy," not "legendary." :)

My D10A is totally readable in bright sunlight. My Aera, not so much.
