Dynon D-120 error code?

Have a Dynon D-120 in my RV7. It has worked well for the last few years. Yesterday the #3 cylinder EGT quit working and now shows a RED -99. Does anybody know if that is a code for trouble shooting? I've looked in the operations manual but have not found any info on it.

Pat - that means a disconnect or the probe may be shot (unlikely). What I do first is disconnect the probe wires, spray contact cleaner into them & re squeeze the connectors. From my experience 99% that will fix the issue. If no joy with that you could also swap the probes to see if the issue goes with the probe - if it does then you got the 1% = replace the probe. HTH.

Try swapping EGT probe connection FWF with the adjacent cylinder on the same side of the engine (#1). If the D-120 then shows #1 with -99 then you know the probe is bad.
I've had two bad Dynon EGT probes in less than 150-hours.

Found the problem...bad EGT probe. Got one right away from Aircraft Spruce

and we are back in business.
