I made a set of these for my plane and I would like some feedback. These move the strut a little lower so the hinge covers don't interfere with the strut. They also have a cutout for the McMasterCarr seal. The geometry is basically the same as the stock bracket. They are made out of nylon and can withstand a lot of abuse. I have been letting my doors spring open and shutter at the extent to test the strength of the nylon. I have done this probably sixty times and so far so good. They are drilled and threaded so they can be retro-fitted or newly installed. No nutplates needed. Oh ya, they come with a short 1/4 inch bushing for installation instead of the 4 washers.Sorry for the crappy picture.
