Fellow Builders,

Did you ever want to pass on your infinite knowledge of metal aircraft construction at AirVenture? This opportunity exists at the Sheet Metal Workshop (Aircraft Spruce Pavilion). We teach forty students twice a day all week long. Our goal at the workshop is to take the mystery out of working with aluminum. It is our hope that when the students leave the workshop, they feel with a bit more practice they can gain the skills needed to build their dream aircraft.

There are days when we have many helpers and there are days when we don't. More volunteers allows for a more personalized experience for the students.

I have been volunteering at the Sheet Metal Workshop for over twenty years and the rewarding experience is what keeps me coming back.

So if you have the time and want to help, stop by the Pavilion and we can direct you to the workshop office to sign up for a class. A few minutes of on the job training and you would be ready. Classes are at 8:30 AM and 1:00 PM and last about 2-2.5 hours.

See you at the show....
