Do I need to Trip aft edge F-1071 Fwd Fuse Top Skin

Permanently mounted the cabin cover top a few days back and now planning the window installation. I have had the fwd fuse assy on\off many times over the past months as I fitted the cabin cover and doors.

Now, I think due to the mounting bolts and the final bend of the F1042 Bulkhead side channels, I am struggling trying to get the "ears" (most aft edge of Fuse Top Skin) in place.

Is it acceptable\normal to need to trim the ears a bit? Looks like I would want to trip the portion that rests under the cabin cover. All this trimmed area should be under fiberglass after the front windscreen is glassed in place.

OK, started browsing a lot of websites this morning..... based on the pcitures of others, I think I need to trim a bit higher on my canopy cover and the ears of the Fuse Fwd top skin should slide into place.

I had to trim the cover a bit more after my initial fitting to get the skin to fit nicely. Be sure to use plenty of clecos to keep the curve correct near the door frame pillars.
