Do I need a new firewall?

I started working on the firewall section of a previously owned kit. It appears that the firewall parts have been deburred and the firewall dimpled but if I’m not mistaken they are dimpled in the wrong direction. Can anyone confirm for me from these pics? The firewall is on the bench with the foam padding underneath to protect the tabs around the edge which I think makes it forward side facing down. IMG_0616.jpeg

I just did my 7 firewall and I looked long and hard at the diagram to check the orientation of the flange to make sure I dimpled in the proper direction. In the 7, the flange goes forward so the dimples and flush head are on the flange side.

First picture does look like dimples are reversed…
Worth a call to Tech Support.

You could try reversing a few dimples to see what results you could get. Process would be to first flatten the wrong direction dimples, than re-dimple in the right direction. (If you attempt to just reverse the dimple in one action, you will end up stretching the hole & buckling the surrounding material).
