Difference in ICOM A200 and A220 wiring

Does anyone know if there is a difference in wiring between ICOM A200 and A220? I contacted ICOM but they didn't give me a yes or no but referred to he installation documentation. I compared the wiring diagrams for both and could not see any difference. When the time comes in 2018 (Europe that is) to switch to comms with 8.33kHz separation, can I then just pull the A200 and push in the A220?

The connectors for the A200 and the A220 are very different. But the Icom A210 is an exact drop in replacement (no wiring change required for basic operation) and provides 8.33Khz channel spacing. You can pull the A200, slide an A210 in the same location and it will work.

I believe the 220 uses a DB-25 while the 200/210 use molex type connectors.

For what I can see the A220 is supplied with a DB-25 and if you want to use a bracket you use the MBA-3 which has a Molex connector. BTW, I see now that the wiring is a bit different between the two.
