Crankshaft cross over tube is loose. What to do?

All,

We just had our prop overhauled and were told that the cross over tube inside the crank shaft was rotating while it should not be.

We had a few opinions about this:
-live with it since you have been flying with this for potentially hundreds of hours already (we have 700 hrs on the engine)
-split the case and repair it.
-might as well get the engine overhauled (oil consumption is 6hrs/qt)
-remove the cross over tube.
-fly and check at your condition inspection to determine of the play/rotation gets worse.

What to do?

-Keep on flying is the easy way out, but might not be safe.
-Splitting the case is the 'cheapest' formal solution, but it might be more economical to get an overhaul done.
-Remove the cross over tube.

It's a Superior Engine with Millenium cylinders.

Thanks!
