Sorry if this has been asked and answered before, but I couldn't find the answer in the forum...
Section 18 of the Rotax inspection checklist states that an inspection must be made for all engines with crankcase S/N up to 27811 inclusive. It then refers to engines with new crankcase S/N 06.0010 and higher. (I'm getting this from Rotax document 05-20-00 page 17 at the following link):

I can't seem to find the crankcase serial number anywhere. The numbers I have found don't seem to fit either of those S/N formats. Where should I be looking?
