This past Christmas, I experienced the agony of defeat when I cracked my canopy during drilling. (btw, anyone still remember that poor skier tumbling down the mountain every Saturday?) After going through the 7 steps, ordered a new canopy and waited for summer. While I remained busy on the project, the ominous threat of CrackedCanopy 2 was always hanging in the back of my mind. Summer is now over. Canopy is done, except for touch up on the front fairing, and I am elated. Fuel tanks were no big deal. Drilling the big hole on the rear spar was child's play. Hanging the engine was a walk in the park. But being done with the canopy and seeing it work? Well, allow me to klink a virtual beer with you.
