Cowling weights

Thought I could find this in the archives somewhere but no luck.
What is the difference in weight between the old polyester cowlings and the newer honeycomb types?

I did a crude check of the old style and the bottom half weighed around 12 lbs and the upper half between 8 and 9 lbs.

Anybody have any good numbers. (I realize the honeycomb model will gain a little filling pinholes, etc.)

RV-6 cowls

I'm in process replacing my original Gelcoat white cowl for the new style. Doing a wt comparison, there is significant wt reduction in the new cowl. Perhaps when I remove all the old fastener stuff I can give real numbers.
