Cowling pressure question

kgood

Well Known Member
This is a question for anyone with an RV (hopefully RV9 or 9A) with a standard Lycoming engine.

Has anyone measured the pressure (in inches of Mercury) in the cowling behind the engine during takeoff, climb and cruise? This information would be helpful to me, as I try to establish some base lines for some experimentation I'm doing with engine cooling.

I would appreciate any help anyone can offer.

Thanks
