Cowling attachment

Running out of things to do as I wait for Sun and Fun Lycoming discounts, Aerotronics just began the panel, and quick build wing to arrive (not until maybe May). Even though the instructions show the cowl attachment before the engine attachment, it looks like the engine needs to be installed before I fit the cowl to the fwd fuselage. Correct or is there a work around that allows accurate installation of the cowl before attaching the engine?

Cowl

You need the engine to mount the cowl. If you could come up with a core in your local area you could use it to mount the cowl.

That's what I thought. I will attend to other tasks that still need attention but are easy to procrastinate
