Countersink and Proseal

Hello all,
I am countersinking the fuel tank skins for the rear baffle. Do I need to countersink a few thousands deeper to make room for the proseal or should I countersink to a depth that the rivet sits flush with the skin before the proseal? Not sure how much room the proseal will take up after the rivet is squeezed. Thanks in advance.

Jeremy,
Countersink a few thousands deeper the proseal takes some space indeed. Rivets may sit a hair proud if you go flush. Please review this page one more time and put much more proseal on that baffle/skin joint. The more the merrier do not ask how I know... :D

Jeremy,

One other thought, make sure and use lots of clecos when you install the rear baffle and ProSeal. If not, you can still get the rivets in with the baffle slightly out of alignment. Another way to make proud rivets.

Good luck!
