Connecting Electric Trim Sensor to EFIS

I want to install the Ray Allen electric trim LED position sensor ( RP3, which comes with the Vans electric trim kit) to the GRT EFIS.

Ray Allen has a large CAUTION NOTE saying

"DO NOT install any other indicator in line with the RP3"

My thought was to install the LED indicator for the CoPilot and run a wire from the RP3 green wire to an input in the EFIS.

Has anyone done this ?

I have not tried it, but I think you can ignore the instructions and go ahead and hook the sensor output to both the indicator and an analog input on the EFIS. The analog inputs have high input impedance, which is to say it's almost like the wire isn't hooked up to anything.
