Cold Afternoon Flight

I loaded up the little one and we headed south to escape the 7 degF temps in Minneapolis. Ok - we only went 100mi south to deliver a dog treat to the airport dog at Rushford and it actually did not get any warmer, but we had a blast! It was plenty cozy in the cockpit once the the slider was shut. Kate "flew" on the way down and slept on the way back. The 396 and Google Earth captured the action. 2.0 hours and 11 gal of 100LL were pleasantly disposed of.......

Brrr......

Pete - great to hear that you're not letting a little chilly weather slow down your flying! I remember flying a J-3 on skis out of ANE when I was a new pilot....if you weren't frozen solid during the outdoor pre-flight, the flying itself was delightful...

As much as I love my home state of Minnesota, I must admit that Texas has a few advantages (this time of year).... ;)
