Clearence on No 2 exhaust pipe

The clearence between the cooling duct and the No 2 exhaust pipe seems small ( about 1/2" ) you would think the heat would effect the fiberglass, also the clearence between the oil cooler and the muffler seems a small.

Anyone got any thoughts on this, I realise they have crammed a lot into a small space and it must work on the factory built ones but !!!!

1/2" is normal, about what mine is. Just watch it for discoloration and add the self adhesive heat sheild if it becomes a problem. There is alot of air moving in the cowling

I'm not quite here yet, but I would be concerned. There may be a lot of air going by in flight, but what about on the ground? I'm at a towered airport with a lot of jet traffic. It's not uncommon to wait several minutes for landing or departing traffic. I had to repaint the cowling on my Warrior due to heat from the exhaust. It's a bigger engine, but the cowl was farther away.
