Cleaning/Prep Tank Sealant

I'm in the process of building my tanks. I have a few spots on my first couple ribs I would like to touch up the fillet and a couple shop heads on the rivets. What is the best way to clean/prep the cured tank sealant before applying more? I'm just trying to get rid of any dust that may have settled on it, especially since I'm not applying a large amount. Should I just give it a quick wipe with acetone?

Acetone will clean it up. Just make sure to get good overlap and seal over the old with the new sealant.

I'm not trying to remove any of what's there. Just clean it to touch up a few spots.
don't think acetone is going to take it off; Need MEK for that and even that will take a good bit of soaking to work. It will soften up the outer layer just a bit but won't hurt it.
