Cleaning dust/dirt from bare metal

What can I clean my project with that will not create problems in the future. I moved my unfinished wings into the garage because I have my house from sale. After 4 months in the garage, there's a dust film on the inside/outside of the wings (bottom skin not in place). I don't want to create any corrosion or paint problems in the future. Thanks!

Denatured alcohol works well for bare metal. Paul is correct.. use Dawn

Mild soap and water won't hurt if it is just dirt.
