Carb Heat Ratchet Cable

Hello,

The ratchet style bowden cable that I have to control my carb heat has lost the ability to stay in the ON position. The ratchet lock has lost its MOJO.

Does any one know if these can be repaired? As an alternative, what would educated masses think of a "button lock" cable that many use for parking brakes, etc.

I swapped out my carb heat for one of these last year. They should be standard equipment for the carb heat control. It has a 10 lb locking force, which is plenty of oomph to hold the door shut at cruise speeds. Highly recommended.
