on attaching the tank skin to the W-919 joint plate other than the instructions saying final drill to size #19. I assume there are nutplates that go here, and that the skin is dimpled? Maybe I'm missing it...

Tom, IIRC...

The platenut goes on the joining strip. The tank gets dimpled for a # 8 screw.

Attach the tank and drill through the holes and joining strip. Take the tank off and drill the tank with the #19 and then dimple for # 8 screw.
The strip will get either K1100-8 or K1000-8 platenuts so attach them and drill for the rivets.
Check the plans, I am sure that it is there, just hard to find.

Bruce that's the way I figured had to be. Can you recall where those directions are in the plans/drawings?

I looked it up tonight.

Look on plan page 9. At the top you will see where the tank attaches. Not that the D -> D with is on the same page. You will see the call out. It is K1100-8.
