canopy shade for the 12/static cling film???

I bought some static cling film at Walmart today. 3 of them for $3.oo each .(you know the little stick up window shades)

Install worked good and looked OK and they are removable. Then I got to thinking about the compatability of this stuff with the canopy material. So I did a search here on the VAF and some say they use them with no problem others say it can damage the Canopy due to heat.

Anybody have comments on this or experience using this stuff on a canopy??

Canopy Shade

I bought a roll of medium dark cling stuff from WalMart that was made for trucks and autos...enough for a dozen Rv's for about $15 years ago and put it on the tip up of my RV-6A. It stayed in place with no problems for about 13 or more years...cheap, effective, fool proof. No harm to the plexi.

I've had 3 of the Walmart ones on my -8A for a year now. No issues.
Although I'd like to have a Kroger shade. Had one on my six and it was
on the minimum equip list! Just can't seem to part with the 200+ for the
Kroger.
