Canopy Rear Skirt, shrink without removing?

Well Known Member
The rear canopy skirt fitted great when build last year, after reinstalling this year the fit is not so good.

I need to shrink the skirt in one area, the shrinker I know about is bench mounted and thus the skirt would have to be drilled off. Is their a more portable shrinker that would eliminate the need to remove the skirt

Unless you have a LOT of experience shrinking the odds of making it worse are probably greater than making it better.
Shrinkers do their magic by grabbing the material with serrated jaws and gathering it or pressing it together in a relatively uniform manner. This leaves significant tooling marks that then need to be filed and polished.
The biggest challenge is what happens just outside of the area you are trying to shrink. It is very easy for that area to "pucker", wave, or oil can leaving you a mess.
Post a pic and get some opinions. I bet it is not as bad as you may think it is.
