Canopy Question

Well Known Member
I just moved the canopy into the workspace and will start work on it shortly. Upon closer inspection, I note that in addition to centerline markings the bubble has lines drawn around its forward and aft locations. Nice. My 6A canopy was devoid of any markings. My guess these are used as a sort of reference....but exactly for what? For the preliminary cut, would it be prudent to trim away the flange and bubble to within an inch or so below these marks? Thoughts?

cuts

leave the AFT cuts until last.
cut the flange
set on fuse
start cutting the front ONLY
When the thing starts to touch the roll bar cut along roll bar, be generious
then cut the rear
trim to fit roll bar after it is drilled
trim front of canopy after it is drilled as well

Thanks Jay...That's exactly the kind of nuance in procedure I was seeking! :)
