Canopy Bubble glued rather than riveted

I have recently started work on my canopy (fear!!!) and almost decided not to rivet the bubble onto the frame. Like a number of builders I plan to use Sikaflex (There is a very nice description of the steps involved on Mickey Coggins site).

What I was not able to find out so far is how the canopy skirts are then fixed to the rest of the assembly. Sikaflex as well? Thickened expoxy resin? A combination of both?
