Cabin cover scribe line

Ok,
I'm getting ready to make the cabin cover fit. Rather than cut on the scribe line knowing that's not enough, can I cut an extra 1/16"?

Not in my experience. The plans give dimensions. Use those, rather than the scribe lines. That would have saved me a lot of time scarfing flanges back in around the doors.
