Bushings in control sticks

It appears that AN 4 bolt can not slide through the control stick brass bushings without reaming the bushing. Has anybody run across this scenario. Thanks

IIRC;
All the brass tube bushings required running a drill or a reamer thru to allow the bolt to fit.

This is correct. When working on -7 aileron bell crank brass bushings it states that this is also typical for the bushings at the controls.
